Space savers

I was at a friends house, and noticed this really cute washing machine/ spin dryer!! What a space saver.

Extremely ideal for anyone living on their own.

She also showed me how she organised all her make up and accessorises. Everything confined to one tower with plenty of space to spare, for new products.

1st haul

Since my moisturiser is running out, I went out on the hunt for an alternative. I came across Mario Badescu skin care line. I have only used the drying lotion for pimples and had good experience with it, so I thought that I couldn't go wrong with this brand. I opted for the Kera Moist Cream.

I can't wait to try it out. I will let you guys know if its any good.

I made a re-purchase of the Carmex lip balm. This is hands down my favourite lip balm and this will be my 2nd one. Its so hydrating and gives a beautiful natural glowy peachy tint to your lips. Plus I 'm in love with the sweet fruity scent.

Reflection of my tears

What happens when the great blinding burst of warm lively glow is dimmed by a long tunnel, to the point that it looks like a spec of white dust?

The feeling of betrayal, injustice and loneliness has held me prisoner from myself.

I desperately try to seek distractions and comfort, but I found myself at the bottom of a garbage pit.

I still have hope nonetheless. I hold on to the believe that, that white dust, is really a distant star, shining just for me. 

"Today" is just one day. After the stroke of midnight, "today" is officially over. It can never repeat itself, and I will not need to re-live it again.  

Let the poison drain into the gutters.

Let the heart beat to the sound of your favourite song.

Let your eyes sparkle with the excitement of life.

Let us bathe in the riverbed, that never run backwards.

Lets not look at what we don't have. We can not be spoilt all the time.

Its our privilege to be have a place to stay and eat what we like.

Dry skin relief

I finally found the perfect solution to my ultra dry flaky skin problem I 've been having.

 I rediscovered an organic moisturiser called "Mt. retour, Organixlift" . Like most natural  certified organic products, this is from Australia.

This has brought relief to my skin. Since during these couple of days, I have been flaking constantly like snake shredding its skin.

I look aged, dry, flaky and wrinkly.

I had tried numerous amount of techniques, like using a mask, layering thick aqueous cream etc . 

 I was so embarrassed by the condition of my skin that I would moisturise during the day at work during my breaks. However, it only gave me short term relief, as after a while the moisturiser would ball up with the dead skin of my face and create greasy flakes of skin.

Then, I came to my senses, all the products I was using were all water-based. I remembered that I had an oil-based moisturiser buried in my collection. I had given up on this product before, as I was using it during the summer, which would give me oily skin.

Say "Hello" to Hello Kitty

This is my favourite watch I like to wear to work these days.
Even though its a Hello Kitty watch, I can still get away with it, since the design is some what subtle. Purple is one of my favourite colours, plus I have always preferred a rectangular face rather than a round face.
It does look quite big on me, but I really don't mind that . It makes it look like a funky cuff.
It has a stop watch function, tells the time in 24hrs, 12 hrs , the day of the week, date and has an alarm.

Favourite concealer

I made an exciting discovery, a creamy concealer pallette that dosen't cost an arm and a leg.

 I found these at Sasa.

I bought 2 different pallettes as I wasn't sure which one suit my skin tone best, (I bought shade 2 and 4). It only cost a mere HK$20 each, so I was willing to buy 2 to try out. I'm so impressed with the consistency that I want to buy more backups of it.

Bonus is it dosen't contain any Parabens in it!!

Theres a good size mirror inside it, which is so useful when using it on the go.

 There's 4 different shades and an empty space for you to mix the shades to fit your shade perfectly.

 The brush is the perfect size for spot concealing.

At 8g/0.28oz, its a generous amount of product. 

I use the lighter shades to coneal my dark under eye circles and use the darker shades for any blemishes I have on the rest of my face.

 I also found that the darkest shade can be used to contour my nose and hollows of my cheeks.

 The consistency is extremely creamy and blendable and melts so naturally into my skin. Therefore, it dosen't leave a dry, chalky and cakey look, when blended in properly.

I give this product 5 out of 5.

 This is shade 4. The brush is missing, since I dropped it on the floor and I had washed it and its now laying out to dry.

Bike ride

I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon cycling through the quieter side of Hong Kong. Sometimes, its good to get away from the busy city. I hired a bike for only HK $40 which Im sure I had my moneys worth since I cycled for 3 tiresome hours. I love how Hong Kong has alot of cycling paths. The paths can be challenging, since there were a few steep pathways, as well as bumpy ones and narrow ones. Lets just say, you won't feel bored. I made sure I slathered a thick layer of sun lotion and sported a pair of padded cycling leggings, with another pair of dark leggings over them and a flowy long top to cover my bottom, so that I won't be so conscious of the padded cycling leggings being exposed. As, if seen, people will mistaken the padding as a huge bottom.:S My outfit was more comfort orientated rather than fashion forward, so that explains the lack of photos of myself.

Today I'm really feeling the effects of yesterday exercise. My backside, thighs and calves are aching so badly. But enough of my moaning, heres a few pictures that you can enjoy of one of the seneries I soaked up.

The Hill you see there is called the "8 Peak Mountain". Its quite popular amoungst hillwalkers.

I feel Like Chicken tonight.....

This is my dinner. After been on a months long healthy eating diet , I think its alright to bing once in a while. Well I also ordered a sweetcorn, so this shouldn't be that bad, right? O just ignore the greasy pot of butter by the way :P

Stone. Star, Crown

These are my top 3 favourite rings of all time. The 3 styles are completely different from eath other, but they show off best my girlies, yet vintage - loving and edgy personality. The crown is from Pinkbox, and the star and the stone rings are from local boutiques.

Whats more is that the star is reversible.

Let me introduce myself, Im Saphire Drops, its lovely to meet you.
I will be posting events from my life, DIY projects, fashion and anything I think will tickle your fancy.

I'm so excited about this blog. I've always been inspired by other bloggers and I hope that I can stur up the same excitment as other bloggers have with me.

So for my first blog, I just want to rave about these baby pink platforms I got at a boutique. They instantly caught my eye. They are extremely comfortable as the heel to the ball of the feet height difference isn't too significant. I probably got it in a size too big for me though, since when I walk, the heel of the shoe comes away from my feet, giving me the Cinderella (lost shoe) effect. However, with the right heel cushions, I was about to roam free, without the fear of losing my shoes. I wore them to a dinner buffet at the Conrad. I had no problems collecting as much food from the buffet as I can. I teamed these beauties with a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, rosy gold metallic flowy top and a white blazer.
